Varanasi, 25th October 2023: JanMitra Nyas/Peoples' Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (JMN/PVCHR), in collaboration with the esteemed Indian-origin Swedish national, Ms. Parul Sharma (Icon of Struggle for Human Dignity), the Rajdulari Foundation, and 200 compassionate Swedish donors, have made a heartwarming gesture by providing bicycles to 13 girls at the organization's office.
Dr. Lenin
Raghuvanshi, the esteemed director of the organization, expressed that this
benevolent initiative is dedicated to enhancing accessibility to schools and
colleges for thirteen girls hailing from economically disadvantaged and Dalit
communities. By gifting these bicycles, the aim is to not only facilitate their
educational journey but also to offer them a means to break the culture of
silence and impunity within the patriarchal system. Education serves as a
powerful tool fostering resilience and providing opportunities for freedom and
dignity.
The sheer
delight visible on the faces of these young girls upon receiving their bicycles
appeared immeasurable, as though they had been granted wings to effortlessly
soar towards their destinations. While some of these girls reside approximately
five kilometers away from their educational institutions, others live even
farther. Financial constraints compel most of them to either walk or, when
possible, rely on auto-rickshaws. However, the financial burden often makes it
challenging for their families to afford regular auto-rickshaw fares. In such
trying circumstances, if additional transportation expenses are imposed, they
are left with no choice but to forsake their education altogether.
Furthermore,
the extended commute often leads to the girls' tardiness at schools and
colleges, resulting in reprimands and penalties.
Shruti
Nagvanshi, the Managing Trustee of the organization, highlighted that the
provision of bicycles will act as a significant catalyst for these girls,
fostering their self-reliance and enabling them to meet the fundamental
prerequisite of being educated and informed.
During this
memorable occasion, the organization's Program Director, Shirin Shabana Khan,
General Secretary Jai Kumar Mishra, and other esteemed associates, including
Rinku Pandey, Sushil Choubey, Manjla Rajbhar, Chhaya Kumari, Jyoti Gaur,
Rajendra Prasad, Arvind Kumar, Shobhanath, and Somaruji, were present to extend
their support and encouragement to these bright, young achievers.

leading newspapers, including Dainik Jagaran, along with renowned platforms
such as Perfect Mission, and news portals like Janjwar, have featured the news.

संस्था के निदेशक डा लेनिन रघुवंशी ने इस मौके पर
कहाकि, संस्था
द्वारा आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर और दलित समुदाय से सम्बद्ध हाईस्कूल, इंटरमीडिएट एवं उच्च
शिक्षा से जुड़ीं तेरह लड़कियों को साईकिल देकर उनके स्कूल और कॉलेज पहुंचने* और
शिक्षा पाने के रास्ते को सुगम बनाने का प्रयास किया गया है ।
साईकिल पाने वाली इन लड़कियों की आज खुशी का, कोई सीमा नही था,
ऐसा लग रहा था
उन्हें पँख मिल गया हो जिसके सहारे वे अपनी उड़ान भर मंजिल पर आसानी से पहुँच
जाएंगी ।
इनमें से कई लड़कियों के घर से स्कूल कॉलेज की दूरी
लगभग पांच और किसी का दस किलोमीटर भी है। ऐसे में ऑटो का किराया होने पर वे ऑटो से
जातीं हैं लेकिन अधिकांश उन्हें पैदल जाना पड़ता है क्योंकि निम्न आर्थिक तबके से
होने के कारण परिवार वाले बमुश्किल से शिक्षा के लिए राजी हुएं हैं ऐसे में यदि
साधन या किराया का मांग किया जाए तो, उन्हें पढ़ाई छोड़ देने के लिए साफ कह दिया जाता है ।
उधर कई बार स्कूल कॉलेज देर से पहुंचने के कारण भी सजा और डांट खाना पड़ता है ।
संस्था की मैनेजिंग ट्रस्टी श्रुति नागवंशी ने कहाकि, साईकिल उनके आत्मनिर्भर होने के लिए शिक्षित होने और जानकार होने की पहली शर्त को पूरा करने बहुत बड़ा मददगार बनेगा ।
