Thank you for your kind words of concern.
These last few days has been like a nightmare.
Personally it has been hard to understand that such acts could be perpetrated in this corner of the world. However, it came as no surprise that there are individuals in Norway - or elsewhere,
who are capable of perpetuate such heinousness crimes. This is what this world has become...........
Sunday service at Oslo Cathedral was attended by the King/Queen/Prime minister/other ministers and commoners alike.
The Cathedral was packed to capacity but there were no metal detectors or other security measures when people entered. Very few uniformed police was to be seen outside.
I hope this will set the standards for time to come and that the country is not thrown out in a frenzy of panic and governmental control.
The US ambassador was also present. I hope it was a revelation for him to see how Norway deal with this trauma. We do have an open society and this is the way it should remain.
Regardless of incidents - violent or not, a society should be measured by its openness rather than the restrictions of movement for its citizens.
Sane people can never accept that extremists of any kind are allowed to set the agenda for how a society should develop. To fight back with more openness is the only way for healing.

Take care and stay safe.

Ken
