PVCHR in collaboration with Children Groups
with support of Global Fund for Children,CRY and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust
organized the children theater on right to education on 30 October 2013
at Sanskrit Sankul,Varanasi. One of the guest called
me on mobile that it is problematic to you as legal complication to
involve the children. I was shocked.It is noted that it is not
involvement of children,but it is ownership and decision of
children,which is supported by PVCHR. Children after performance asked
the question against child right violation such as corporal punishment
etc. Mostly Adult do not support children voice. But Article 12 of the
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child lays down the principle and
purpose of meaningful participation of children and young people,and
Article 7 of CEDAW on women’s rights.
The Millennium Declaration in
Article 25 reaffirms the commitment to work collectively for more
inclusive political processes, allowing genuine participation by all
citizens (and in this case, children and young people included) in all
countries.
The World Fit for Children in para 32 (i) adopted at the
UN General Assembly Special Session on Children made a strong commitment
towards increasing participation of children.
I appeal to Government of India that to organize training of Government officials for child right.
