In September 2025, Nepal’s youth showed the world that dignity cannot be silenced. From bullets to the appointment of the country’s first woman Prime Minister, their struggle is a mirror for all of South Asia.

In my latest article, I connect Nepal’s Gen Z uprising with the vision of People’s SAARC we initiated in Varanasi two decades ago — a South Asia where democracy means justice, not just elections.
