2 Bangladeshi teenagers shot dead by BSF on Jhenaidah border

A BSF jawan stands on guard at the India-Bangladesh border
Both were high school students
Two
Bangladeshi students were gunned down allegedly by the members of
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Khoshalpur border under Maheshpur
upazila in Jhenidah on Tuesday morning.
The
victims are Shohel Rana, 16, a student of Bakoshpota Secondary School
and son of Shahidul Islam of Khoshalpur, and Harunur Rashid, 15, a
student of Shamkur Secondary School and son of Kawsar Ali of Shyamkur in
the upazila.
Locals said the killings took place around 9am when the duo were trying to enter India illegally.
When
contacted, Deputy Commander of 58 Border Guard Bangladesh unit Jasim
Uddin and Ahmedul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Maheshpur police station,
said they are aware of the incident.
